Introduction

Proteus Motion created a new category of strength training, designing the eponymous Proteus System, which utilizes three-dimensional co-linear resistance training. This method of training was adopted by Major League Baseball teams, world-class rehabilitation hospitals and notable facilities for sports performance. The company, however, needed more widespread adoption and additional investment in order to scale. So the company turned to our team, specifically citing our experience in the health and fitness and sports spaces as reason to partner. Our team understood that early success stories would be a boon for an awareness campaign. So we examined each of Proteus Motion’s partners, citing commonalities in their successes and shared this in a cogent pitch to our closest national sportswriters. It led to widespread coverage of the company. And this editorial ultimately helped spawn the formal onboarding of a Hall of Fame baseball player as a company advisor.

RADIO TOUR

Former Major League Baseball pitcher Chris Capuano recognized the potential of Proteus Motion and was among its earliest investors and advisers. With institutional knowledge of the company and the credibility of 12 Major League Baseball seasons in tow, we used our proprietary lists of sports radio producers and offered Capuano for interviews on stations around the country, including a national appearance on MLB Network Radio.
