Introduction

Bedding company Sheets & Giggles came to Branded boasting a fun, eccentric brand and a great product that outclassed much of the company’s competition. Their problem? Too few consumers knew they existed, instead opting for established companies like Brooklinen and Buffy that were heavily featured on and listicles that served as go-to resources for many consumers. While working with Branded, Sheets & Giggles was able to capitalize on our team’s relationships with the highest-yielding consumer publications and tap into our network of business reporters to develop thought leadership around the company -- all of which helped drive sales during 2020 when so many retailers were challenged by the pandemic.

Made from eucalyptus lyocell, Sheets & Giggles boasted best-in-class products that eliminated night sweats, promoted comfort and were beneficial for light sleepers. Additionally the products were eco-friendly unlike many of Sheets & Giggles competitors whose manufacturing processes were harmful to the environment. Our team used these differentiators to secure coverage with the brand-name consumer publications.

THOUGHT LEADERSHIP

In order to develop stakeholder relationships, raise money and fuel recruiting efforts, it was critical that Sheets & Giggles Founder and CEO Colin McIntosh be recognized as a thought leader not only in the consumer and e-commerce spaces but the larger startup ecosystem as a whole.
