Introduction

ShotTracker, a sensor-based basketball analytics and tracking technology, aimed to introduce its technology to major college basketball in advance of the 2019 season. Despite boasting late NBA Commissioner David Stern and NBA great Magic Johnson as investors, the company needed to earn the trust of blueblood basketball programs and their parent leagues. ShotTracker knew the endorsement of highly-read college basketball writers was critical. Having engaged with agencies that had little experience in sports, ShotTracker’s leadership team turned to us because of our agency’s strong relationships with places like ESPN, Sports Illustrated, NBC Sports and other notable sports-centric outlets.
